Muir Woods National Monument

Los Angeles & Hollywood Innovation
The tour culminates in Los Angeles, where students will explore Hollywood, Universal Studios, and see how innovation shapes the entertainment industry. A visit to The Getty Center will provide insights into how art, culture, and technology come together. Students will also get a behind-the-scenes look at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) to understand how space exploration and technological development come to life.
Sample Itinerary
Arrive in San Francisco, check into the hotel, and begin with a guided tour of the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman’s Wharf. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and a chance to explore San Francisco’s iconic neighborhoods.
Start the day at the Exploratorium, where students will engage in hands-on exhibits about science, technology, and art. Afterward, head to Muir Woods National Monument to explore the coastal redwoods and learn about conservation efforts in the region. Return to San Francisco for the evening.
Travel to Silicon Valley, the global hub of technology and innovation. Begin with a tour of the Computer History Museum, followed by a visit to Stanford University to learn about the future of tech and innovation. The day concludes with a tour of the Googleplex, where students can engage in discussions with tech experts and learn about the impact of Google on the world.
Travel to Santa Barbara, enjoying a scenic drive along the coast. Once in Santa Barbara, students will participate in an environmental science workshop and explore the city’s sustainable architecture and coastal ecosystems. Free time in the evening will allow students to explore the town’s shops and coastal views.
Arrive in Los Angeles and start with a visit to Hollywood and Universal Studios, where students will learn about the intersection of technology and entertainment. Later, explore The Getty Center, which combines art, architecture, and technology in a stunning setting.
Visit NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, where students will get an insider’s view of space exploration and learn about the Mars Rover missions and innovations in space technology. In the afternoon, explore Los Angeles’ iconic attractions, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Griffith Observatory.
In the morning, students will visit Venice Beach to discuss California’s innovative approaches to sustainability, including solar energy and water conservation. Students will also have free time to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles, from its trendy neighborhoods to its historic architecture.
Before departing, students will have the opportunity to visit Santa Monica Pier and enjoy the ocean views. Afterward, reflect on the unforgettable journey and head to the airport for the return flight.
